As Dems Lie About Hurricane FEMA Response, Trey Gowdy Interrupts and Unleashes Hellfire

During a meeting before the House Oversight Committee on Thursday, Democrats consistently blamed Republicans and FEMA for shortcomings realized after the hurricanes earlier this year in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

The head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Brock Long gave opening statements allowing everyone to “place blame on my all you want, that’s fine, I can take it. But that’s not going to be the answer for solving the problems of the future.”

Long sited several barriers for the agency during the crisis that prevented them from giving the best care to those affected by the disasters.

Despite the pleas from Long calling for solutions instead of just blame, several high ranking Democrats proceeded to pick apart the Trump Administration’s response to the disasters.

Rep. Nydia Velazquez (D-NY), a native of Puerto Rico, aired her frustrations with the agency’s response.

“When I hear you trying to blame the local government, I get angry. I get angry because of your lack of understanding of the political reality of Puerto Rico and the United States.”

Delegate Stacey Plaskett, from the Virgin Islands, also yelled at Director Long.

“People have got to man up, woman up, and take responsibility for their shortcomings.”

The session devolved into a blame game with no one actually discussing anything they could do to better serve people in a future natural disaster.

After a long time of this, Rep. Trey Gowdy decided he had enough. He was sick and tired of the Democrats attacking Republicans for something they had no control over,

He then interrupted them and dropped a truth bomb no one was prepared for.

“You wouldn’t know any of that had you listened to the opening statement given by the other side. So the roles will be reversed come January. I’ll be gone. We will be in the minority. I hope the minority treats the majority with more fairness than the minority treated the majority today.
