Ilhan Omar is causing all kinds of controversy across the land but instead of being accused of being unAmerican, she she is being accused of being anti-white-man.

Take a look at what Fox News had to say about it:
In a resurfaced interview from 2018, anti-Trump Democrat Ilhan Omar responded to a question about the “quote-unquote legitimate fears” some people have of “jihadist terrorism,” by saying Americans should be “more fearful of white men.”
In the interview, Al Jazeera host Medhi Hasan said some Americans feel justified in fearing Islam, not out of hate but for their own safety, before listing a number of radical Islamic terror attacks. Omar dismissed this suggestion immediately and laid the blame on white males instead, calling for the profiling and monitoring of Caucasian men.
“I would say our country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country,” she replied.
“And so if fear was the driving force of policies to keep America safe — Americans safe inside of this country — we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men.”
That’s a pretty crazy statement.
Just in case you fall for this kind of rhetoric, let’s look at some actual data, shall we?
POLL: Should Pelosi Be REMOVED From Office?
According to Town Hall:
First of all, white men may be really bad at dancing, but they aren’t even “causing most of the deaths” in America, though given the fact that white people in general are still technically a majority at roughly 70 percent, that would actually be a reasonable assumption from Omar. It’s like saying “most” of the deaths in Somalia are caused by black Somalian men. However, while white men statistically SHOULD be causing “most of the deaths” in America, they actually aren’t.
So if you check the US Census government website, you can see that the United States is 76.5 white. This would mean that 76.5% of all terrorist deaths would need to be at the hand of a white person for Omar’s statements to be true. It’s not.
Town Hall goes even further to state that the FBI shows only 50.7 percent of the terrorist deaths in the country are committed by white men.
So if 3/4 of the country are white, but white people are accounting for only 1/2 of the deaths due to terrorism, you can see the problem in the math.
It’s really sad, actually.
VOTER POLL: Is AOC Mentally Unfit To Serve In Congress?
So sad, in fact, that the mainstream media tried to spin the story to somehow save Omar’s already tarnished reputation.
Snopes jumped in to say that “Omar’s comment was both edited and taken out of context.” That’s completely ridiculous since only some of the right wing edited out a small portion of her comment (for time purposes) and the context of her remarks remain the same, regardless of the editing.
Even more comical were the left-leaning fake-news sites that ran with the spin, and later had to eat crow, such as Mediaite, who mocked Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson for slamming Omar’s racism.
What Mediaite didn’t understand is that the unedited clip was shown on both Hannity’s and Carlson’s shows… and it had no bearing on the “context” of her comments.
Because of their blunder, Mediaite and others were forced to add a short corrections at the end of their articles, like the one below:
Correction: This post originally stated Hannity and Carlson aired the edited clip circulating on social media. They in fact aired the full clip that included Omar’s caveat. This post has been updated and Mediaite regrets this error.
Isn’t that hilarious?
